Docsio generates a daily server-side hash from the visitor IP and user agent, then discards the raw IP. The hash rotates every 24 hours, so the same reader on day one and day two counts as two unique daily visitors but cannot be tracked across days. This keeps stats useful without identifying anyone.
Can I see which pages get the most traffic and where readers come from?
Yes. The dashboard ranks pages by total pageviews so you can see which docs pull the most weight. A separate panel lists top referrers like Google, GitHub, Hacker News, and Reddit, so referral clicks from AI answers and search show up alongside everything else. Country and device breakdowns sit on the same screen, so a single page tells you who is reading and how they got there.
Do I need to install a tracking script to enable analytics?
