Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Docsio platform operated at docsio.co ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Docsio is a documentation generation and hosting platform. The Service allows you to:

  • Generate documentation sites from your website content using AI
  • Edit documentation using an AI-powered editor with live preview
  • Publish documentation sites hosted on Docsio subdomains or your own custom domain

2. Accounts

  • You must create an account to use the Service. Accounts are created via Google OAuth.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

3. Plans and Billing

Free Plan

  • Includes 1 documentation site, AI generation, brand extraction, AI agent editor, live preview, and hosted publishing on a Docsio subdomain.
  • No credit card required. No time limit.

Pro Plan ($60/month)

  • Includes up to 3 documentation sites, custom domain support, and priority support.
  • Billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.
  • After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan. Existing projects are preserved but custom domains are disconnected. You cannot create new projects beyond the Free plan limit.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel, you retain access through the end of your paid period.

4. Your Content

Ownership

You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or generate using the Service. This includes your documentation text, images, configuration, and branding.

License to Us

By using the Service, you grant Docsio a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This includes:

  • Storing your project data in our database
  • Sending your website content to AI models for documentation generation
  • Hosting and serving your published documentation sites
  • Displaying your content in the editor and preview

We do not use your content for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it to train AI models.

Website Scraping

When you provide a website URL, you represent that you have the right to use the content from that website for documentation purposes. You are responsible for ensuring you have authorization to scrape and repurpose the content from any URL you provide.

5. AI-Generated Content

  • Documentation generated by Docsio is produced by AI language models based on your website content.
  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated content before publishing.
  • You own the AI-generated documentation created through the Service.
  • We clearly mark generated content with placeholders where information could not be verified from your website.

6. Published Sites

  • Published documentation sites are hosted on secure infrastructure and served over HTTPS.
  • Free plan sites are hosted at yourproject.docs.docsio.co.
  • Pro plan sites can be connected to a custom domain you own.
  • We reserve the right to remove published sites that violate these Terms.
  • Published sites remain accessible as long as your project exists and your account is in good standing.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate documentation containing illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing content
  • Scrape websites you do not have authorization to access
  • Misrepresent the source or ownership of content
  • Interfere with the Service, other users, or our infrastructure
  • Automate access to the Service in a way that exceeds reasonable use
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

8. Service Availability

  • We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • Sandbox environments (used for preview and building) are ephemeral and may be reclaimed after periods of inactivity.
  • We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide notice when possible.

9. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time. All your data will be permanently deleted.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice when possible.
  • Upon termination, your published sites will be taken offline and all project data deleted.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content or the availability of third-party services we depend on.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Australia.
