Brand Matching

Your docs look like your product from day one

The AI agent's first step is extracting your brand. Colors, logo, fonts, and favicon are pulled from your website and applied to every part of your docs, the theme, dark mode, navbar, and favicon. Your documentation looks like your product from the first preview.

Key Capabilities

What gets extracted automatically

Primary & secondary color extraction

Our platform reads your website's CSS and computed styles to identify your primary brand color, secondary palette, backgrounds, and accent tones, then applies them directly to your docs.

Logo & favicon download

Your logo and favicon are downloaded automatically from your site and placed in the right locations in your documentation project. No manual uploading required.

Typography detection

We detect which fonts your site uses for headings and body text and configure your documentation to match. Your readers will see the same typography they recognize from your product.

Dark and light theme preference

Docsio detects whether your brand site leans light or dark and sets the default documentation theme accordingly, so your docs feel native from day one.

FAQ

Brand extraction: common questions

How does Docsio brand extraction work?

Paste your website URL and the AI agent reads your CSS, computed styles, and assets. It pulls your primary and secondary colors, downloads your logo and favicon, detects which fonts you use for headings and body text, and identifies whether your site leans light or dark. Everything is then applied to your docs theme automatically.

What does Docsio extract from a brand URL?

Five things: primary and secondary colors, the logo, the favicon, heading and body fonts, and your default theme preference. All of these get wired into the Docusaurus theme, navbar, and dark mode palette, so your docs match your product the first time you see the preview.

Can I edit the extracted brand colors and fonts after generation?

Yes. After extraction you can change any color, font, or asset from the project settings or by asking the AI agent in chat. A request like change the primary color to teal or swap the body font to Inter rewrites the right CSS variables in seconds. Nothing is locked in.

What if my website does not have a clear brand to extract?

The agent falls back to sensible defaults. If a color or font cannot be detected, you get a clean neutral palette and a standard sans-serif stack, and the agent flags what it could not find. You can then upload a logo or pick colors manually from settings, or just ask the agent to apply them.

Is brand extraction free on Docsio?

Yes. Brand extraction is included on every plan, including the free tier with 1 site. There is no add-on charge, no separate brand kit license, and no need to upload assets manually. Custom domains with automatic SSL are also free on every plan, so a fully branded docs site costs nothing to launch.

Does brand extraction work with subdomains or password-protected sites?

Public subdomains work the same way as root domains. Password-protected staging sites cannot be scraped automatically, so for those you can either point extraction at your public marketing site or upload your brand assets and color values directly. The agent applies them to the docs the same way either path.
