Colors that actually feel branded
Going beyond the one auto-extracted primary color. Building a small palette, picking accents, and the dark-mode shifts most teams miss.
Use your brand color to guide attention while keeping long pages easy to read. A documentation site needs clear text, quiet surfaces and visible links more than a large palette.
The minimum viable palette
Open Settings → General → Brand. The available fields are Primary, Secondary, Accent, Background, Text and Muted Text.
Start with the primary color and readable background and text values. Add supporting colors only where they serve a purpose. Muted text still needs enough contrast to read comfortably.
Picking the primary
Check links, active navigation, buttons and focus indicators. If the extracted primary is too pale, use a darker readable variant on light backgrounds. A color that works in a large logo may fail in small body links.
Dark mode
Review a long article, code sample and image-heavy page in dark mode. If the result needs adjustment, ask the agent to refine the dark palette while preserving the light version. The current settings do not have a separate dark-primary toggle.
Test before you ship
Use keyboard navigation and a narrow screen as well as a desktop mouse. Publish only after text, controls and important states remain clear in both modes.
