Frequently asked questions

Answers about trials, subscriptions and documentation sites.

Is there a free plan?

New accounts get a seven-day trial without a credit card. Continued access costs $10/month per site. Older accounts should follow their account details and any transition notice from Docsio.

What happens when my trial ends?

Without a subscription, the site is temporarily taken offline and editing is locked. Your content stays saved. Subscribe to restore access; your other paid sites remain usable.

Are all features included?

Trial and subscribed sites include AI and manual editing, hosting, custom domains, team collaboration, GitHub sync, versions, search, chat, MCP and analytics without Docsio branding.

Can I have multiple sites?

Yes. Purchase a subscription for each additional site through Add Project. Team members do not add a separate per-seat subscription charge.

Can I edit without AI?

Yes. Open a page in the file tree and use the manual editor. You can combine manual edits and agent requests in the same project.

Does saving publish my edits?

No. Review the preview and select Publish when ready. A connected GitHub repository can also trigger a publication when the configured branch receives changes.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Add the hostname in Settings → Publishing and follow the displayed DNS instructions. You need to own the domain; registration is separate.

Will importing a website reproduce every page exactly?

The import creates a documentation draft from accessible sources. Review page coverage, examples, images and links before replacing an existing site. Add missing source material when needed.

What happens to an older Docsio site?

It keeps its saved content and existing site setup. New template releases do not automatically rewrite older customer sites.
