Disconnect

How to cleanly disconnect a GitHub repo from your Docsio site without affecting either side.

Open Settings → GitHub → Disconnect and confirm. Docsio removes the project's connection without deleting the repository or its commit history.

What happens to your repo

Disconnecting does not push, pull or delete repository content. Subsequent Docsio publications no longer send commits through that connection.

What happens to the Docsio app installation

The GitHub App remains installed until you remove it in GitHub. Manage it from your personal or organization's installed-app settings. Removing an installation can affect other projects that use it, so check those connections first.

What happens to your Docsio content

The current project content stays in Docsio. Disconnecting does not replace it with a fresh repository snapshot.

Reconnecting

Reconnect from the GitHub tab and choose the installation, repository, branch and initial direction again. If both sides changed while disconnected, decide which content should supply the next sync and keep a backup of work you need.
